The Combilift company was founded by two great engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had over 40 years of engineering experience when they established the company in 1998 in Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than a decade, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all over the world, delivering machines to more than 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted international network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into numerous markets around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, Moffett and McVicar have made products which had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009 and are in high demand.
Below is a summary of some of the Combilift models.
C-Series Combilifts are available in an array of mast options. Lift heights as much as nine meters and lift capacities up to 25,000 kilograms are available. Engines are available in diesel, battery or electric and gas or LPG and the C-Series Combilifts could work in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers could transport fully loaded containers that could weigh up to 35 tons. These loads could be transported all over a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier could carry fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These kinds of machinery are an efficient, cost effective solution for numerous shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those kinds with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machinery capable of driving in four directions because of its multi-directional steering. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive forklift could help companies in many ways, one of which is to allow facilities to have narrower aisles. It also allows the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable truck is often considered to be a better option compared to numerous conventional sit-down sideloaders because of the various added capabilities and features.
