Nissan Pneumatic Tire Forklift Wyoming

Nissan Pneumatic Tire Forklift Wyoming

What is the Difference between Cushion Tire and Pneumatic Tire?

Knowing the difference between cushion tire forklifts and pneumatic tire forklifts is amongst the most common questions regarding this type of equipment. Each and every type of tire is specially right for different requirements.

Pneumatic Tires have air inside of them, like vehicle tires. These types of tires are ideal for indoor usage but they are more effective on uneven and gravel surfaces and in outdoor "yard" applications.

Cushion tires are made as a solid industrial tire that is used mostly for indoor operation. These tires could be used outdoors on asphalt surfaces only. If you do drive cushion tires outside, there is an alternative to get traction tires on the front of the equipment. These are called the drive tires. The steer tires or the back tires are specifically made for steering. Traction tires located on the back of the forklift would simply wear out faster. Hence, if you do need to work outside, having traction on the front and the smooth tires on the rear will be the most economical and safest way to operate.

What is the distinction between Air Pneumatic and Solid Pneumatic tires?

When trying to determine the main difference between the two tire types, it can be a bit difficult. They both operate in the same outdoor situations like asphalt, and gravel. The main difference between the two tire types is solid pneumatics are made of solid rubber. This means you cannot puncture, pop or gouge them as they are durable. These kinds of tires are more pricey compared to air pneumatic tires because they are made up of way more rubber. These types of tires are best suited for places such as scrap yards and lumber yards where there can be a lot of debris or sharp things on the ground.

Air pneumatic tires could be punctured accidentally. When this occurs, you could get flat tires from them. Before using a forklift with air pneumatic tires, check your work area and be sure that the yard is free of debris, sharp metals and nails. In most applications, standard air pneumatic tires function really great.
