Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial applications. They are also recognized for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously unreachable by typical jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature enables up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing production and effectiveness.
